Aahaara AI
A nutrition tracker that finally understands Indian food — on your phone, offline, in your own words.
Most nutrition apps are built around packaged Western food. Type "mosaranna" or "beetroot palya" and they shrug. Aahaara lets you say or type what you ate in your own words — including Kannada, Tamil and Telugu food names — and works out the nutrition on your phone, offline.

A food parser for how Indians actually talk
Every phrase of one to five words is checked, longest match first, with overlap resolution and edit-distance fuzzy matching. Matches are ranked by confidence, and anything below 80% asks the user to confirm instead of guessing.
A knowledge graph of regional names
Regional spellings and transliterations collapse to one canonical food, and a composition engine understands ingredient plus preparation — beetroot plus palya — with portion and modifier handling on top.
Private and offline by default
Recognition and coaching run entirely on the device — no generative AI service is ever called with your meals. A versioned food database downloads only what changed, and feedback queues offline until there's a connection.
A data pipeline with quality gates
Foods are added in validated batches: tooling rejects malformed nutrition, duplicate IDs and missing Kannada names, and generates synonyms and coverage reports. Regional household benchmarks run as tests on every change.
Aahaara AI is a Dashapramati product, currently in early access.
